The Exhibition
Become part of the art this summer as the MCA presents Australia's first solo exhibition by one of the world’s favourite interactive artists, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, as part of the Sydney International Art Series.
As a 'crowdsourced' show the content is entirely collected from visitors, using technologies such as heart rate sensors, motion detectors, fingerprint scanners, microphones and face recognition software. Your participation brings these critical and poetic digital artworks to life.
Offering an exciting first glimpse at one of the Museum’s refurbished galleries ahead of the opening of the new and expanded MCA in March 2012, this free exhibition features 12 recent artworks, including two new works made especially for Sydney.
You’ll also be able to explore how and why these works were created in a series of talks with the artist, curatorial staff and install team.
